03 Jul 10 Daily Hashtags for Instagram (or to create Content)
Monday
Monday is the beginning of the week and the content you create to set the tone for the week. I personally create most of my content for Monday, as you can see with my Content Mondays but they’re many hashtags that are popular for the first day of the week.
#MondayMotivation or #MotivationMonday
Motivation Monday is popular (1.1M on Instagram) because you can inspire others and share your favorite quotes. I often see people in the fitness industry using this hashtag to post about their personal or client journey. Personally, anything could be good for Monday as long as you keep in mind something that either motivates you or that can motivate others. A major shoutout there goes to my friend Thierry Lindor that posts Motivational Monday videos to inspire others with their week!
Man Crush Monday #MCM
You have a crush on someone? A celebrity? Your boyfriend? #ManCrushMonday ( 4.4M Hashtags on Instagram) is a popular theme that is used to demonstrate your appreciation to a male figure (Women Crush will be covered later since it is on Wednesdays). Man crush doesn’t mean that you desire that person but instead mean that you may admire the individual. I used to see it often on Twitter but on my personal Instagram I don’t see any MCM post.
Additional content that can be relevant for Mondays would be #MondayBlues, #MusicMondays and #MondayMood.
Tuesday
Transformation Tuesday
With over 12M uses of that hashtag on Instagram, #TransformationTuesday is undeniably one of the most popular fitness hashtag on Instagram. You usually use this hashtag to demonstrates what you used to be to what you are now. (Before and After) From personal body goals to haircuts, this trend is a great way to keep others aware of your personal journey.
Travel Tuesday
You enjoy traveling and have lot of picture of your travels that you don’t know when to share? #TravelTuesday (750K Hashtags on Instagram) is the handle for you to share your travel pictures, travel stories and/or advices. I’ve never used that hashtag in the past but I was pleased to see the posts that were mentioning it.

Additional content that can be relevant for Tuesdays would be #TuesdayThoughts and #TipTuesday!
Wednesday
Women Crush Wednesday or #WCW
Women crush Wednesday (61M hashtags on WCW) is the same thing as MCM that was mentioned above but for a woman that you have a crush on!
Hump Day
Wednesday is the midpoint of the week and people call it the Hump Day (10M use of the Hashtag on Instagram) because it is used in the context of climbing a hill to get through the week. Usually, people post content that demonstrates what they are up to in the middle of the week but also, they tend to post a lot of pictures of girl asses… God knows why!
Additional content that can be relevant for Wednesdays would be #WorkoutWednesday, #WayBackWednesday, and #WonderfulWednesday
Thursday
Throwback Thursday or #TBT
Throwback Thursday (42M use of this Hashtag on Instagram) is one of my favorites since you can use that day to publish an old photo of you, a photo from back in the days. In addition, it is the perfect time to drop a story time with your post.
Thankful Thursday
Thankful Thursday (713K use of this hashtag on IG) is the opportunity to be grateful and demonstrate it publicly. This trend started in the office space where people would thank one of their colleague on Thursday and have gratitude in the workplace. On Instagram, people use that hashtag to demonstrate many things such as a motivational quote, picture of themselves and more.
Additional content that can be relevant for Thursdays would be #ThirstyThursday and #ThursdayIsTheNewFriday.
Friday
Follow Friday
This hashtag has been popular since Twitter days. I remember looking forward to Friday to see if anyone would mention me for their Follow Friday (626K use of this hashtag on Instagram). Basically, #FF consists of mentioning the people that you want your followers to check out and follow. It is a good way to finish the week and also a good week to show some love to the people you admire.
Thank God It’s Friday or TGIF
#TGIF (30M use of this hashtag) is there for one reason, to end the week in beauty. Thank God It’s Friday post are positive and almost cheerful. People use it to showcase what’s coming up for them on the weekend, what they are looking for and more.
