23 Apr #FordCurbsidePickup With The 2021 Ford Explorer Hybrid

Restaurants are suffering and Ford and I collaborated to go showcase the restaurant with the #FordCurbsidePickup. For this opportunity, I wanted to showcase one of my favorite restaurant in Montreal and it is Kwizinn. Kwizinn is a Haitian owned restaurant located on Plaza St-Hubert. I’ve been a fan since their opening and I decided to bring my brother there as well.

The 2021 Ford Explorer Hybrid is a large SUV, by large I mean that this is the car you want to have when you go on a road trip with your friends or the perfect car for anyone that has a family with more than 2 kids. I was impressed at first by the space that this car offered. Personally, I am a big fan of big car and my first car was actually a caravan, the Explorer reminded me of my first car but with a nicer look and feel to it.

The way the Explorer works is different than the previous hybrid that I have driven. In fact, you can’t charge the battery but instead, the battery regenerates itself while you are driving. During the drive, you actually know when the car decides to use the electric energy and also when it uses the engine itself.

I was a big fan of the fact that there are different driving mode that are adapted to the driver style but also the roads conditions. While you are not in charge of if the engine remains on or off (since it switches to Electric) Ford keeps the engine on all the time in some of the mode such as Tow/Haul and Sand mode. This past week I was mostly on ECO mode which is very smooth and gas friendly, and the sport mode on the highway. I must say that the sport mode shows the power of the car!

I was curious about the sound system since it was the first time that I was seeing the ”B&O” on a speaker. After doing some researches, I found out that it was a collaboration with ”Bang & Olufsen”. This new collaboration focuses on giving an audio experience in all the Ford trucks. According to their website ” The sound philosophy of B&O in Ford is to engage people with enjoyable sound. Music is a liberating, emotional, and social experience.” I must say that I definitely saw the quality. Sound for me is important and I have the ear for it and while I was listening to music while driving, I was used to good quality but then I even sat in the back to listen to music and I approve, B&O definitely knows what they are doing.

That being said, I would definitely recommend this car to people that love to go to roadtrips, that loves camping or simply someone that is looking to have comfort in their car.
