27 Nov The Benefits of Having an Instagram Business Page
Instagram is a powerful social media and turning your personal page to a business one gives you many benefits. In this blog post, I will cover 3 benefits of turning your personal page to a Professional business page!
1- Track Performance
This is one of the only reasons why I enjoy having a business Instagram Business Page. As a social media strategist, it is important for me to know if my posts are good. In fact, the goal is to always share content that will be relevant to your community. By having a professional page, you have access to the insights and can track much analytics from Instagram itself such as:
Engagements: The number of likes, comments, shares, and saves your posts.
Traffic: How many people decided to text, call, see your profile or visit your website in the past week or because of a post.
Other analytic includes the number of reach, impressions and a deeper insight of your followers such as where they are from, the gender and the days of the week where your followers are more active.
I personally enjoy these stats because it helps me understand what content is good. It goes a long way to know what works for your client and for yourself. You can also simply look into the posts that you share in the year to date and see right away which one have great engagement and works the best.
2- The Call To Action Buttons
One benefit that I like from Instagram business page is the call to action buttons. In fact, when your page is a business one, you can add your number for people to text you or call you, your email address and your address.
Instagram also allows you to add an additional action button to your profile to link it with a third party website or application such as Eventbrite (to sell tickets), OpenTable (to reserve a table), MyTime ( for booking) and more.
3- Instagram Ads
If you are a business, IT IS A MUST for you to have an Instagram Business Page or else you are doing it all wrong. With over 1 Billion monthly active users, you definitely want to tap into that network to promote your business. Instagram ads are not intrusive and can be well targeted. Since Instagram and Facebook are connected, you are able to target an advertisement directly to the market that you want. I personally suggest to use Facebook Ad Manager to do your Instagram Ads, you have more options in it. In addition, you can also promote your product with Instagram Stories. In fact, many advertisers vouch for this advertising tool. They say that ads in Instagram Stories are now one of the top sources of revenue for their apps.
That being said, it is obvious that your next marketing strategy should include Instagram Ads. By doing so, you are tapping into a broader network and using a platform that has one of the best conversion rates outside. On the other hand, if you don’t have a product to sell, having a business page will help you create better content and see what works for you.
If you think that a business page is for you, here are the step to switch your personal account to a business one.
- Go to your profile and tap the “gear” icon
- Tap “Switch to Business Profile”
- Select the Facebook Page that you’d like to connect to your Instagram business profile. If you don’t see your business’ Facebook Page as an option, make sure that you’re listed as an admin in the settings menu. Once the correct Facebook Page appears, select it and tap “Next.”
