06 Nov Travel from Montreal to Martinique and Guadeloupe For Cheap With Norwegian Airlines!

That’s it, a new airline has come to Montreal and my friends and I decided to give it a shot and it was a good experience. Norwegian Airlines is a Norwegian low-cost airline that aims to offer cheap flights from Montreal to nice destinations. They currently offer direct flight to Guadeloupe and Martinique.

A few weeks ago, my friend Paul and I were talking about going away to Toronto to watch a Raptors game. We did some quick maths and noticed that a day in Toronto would cost us about 400-500$. Then, I hoped on Google Flight to look at what could be an alternative for us instead of going to Toronto and found a flight to Martinique for 360$ Round Trip! With no idea of what to expect we booked it and my brother Reginald and my friend Sigal tagged along with us!

The Flight Experience

At the airport, the check-in was fast. Since they only started flying from Montreal last Monday, within 2 minutes we were already at the counter getting our tickets. From there, we head over to the security check to later go to the National Bank x MasterCard Lounge that is exclusive for World Elite National Bank Mastercard cardholders.

In flight, the seats were spacious and the plane was clean (the plane seemed brand new to be honest). I personally travel once with a low-cost airline and it wasn’t the best experience. From being in a dirty plane to having a bad service… I really thought that I was about to get the same type of experience. However, it wasn’t the same at all. Norwegian airlines actually had a great service (only English though) and the staff was nice and friendly.

In addition, since it is a low-cost airline, you pretty much have to pay for everything extra (including water). I personally didn’t mind but saw someone in the plane complain about it. During the flight, I took a beer and their brie sandwich, 5$ USD and 9$ USD respectively. From there, I was already in the vibe for Martinique with a Lorraine beer. (Which is the most popular beer here!).

All this to say that, if you plan to take a trip down South with Norwegian Airlines, don’t hesitate. Great service, great experience and good price!
