I believe that we are on to something. I previously mentioned you about Le Brunch Squad meetups.<\/a>\u00a0Well, fast forward it to 6 months later, we\u00a0are already at our 5th Brunch Meetups. This one happened yesterday and I have one word for it, AMAZING. With over 30 guests, we made this experience a nice way to start the day with mimosas,\u00a0great food, and good laughs.<\/p>\n

But what Is Le Brunch Squad?<\/h2>\n

2 years ago I created the Instagram Page le Brunch Squad<\/a> and since then, my friend Katrina<\/a> has been running it amazingly. She has an eye for aesthetics and takes beautiful picture herself as well, head over her Instagram<\/a> to see more!\u00a0 Previously called MTLBreakfast, it was an extension of the page MTLPromos<\/a>. The goal of this page is to promote Montreal\u2019s restaurant that offers the most important meal of the day: BRUNCH<\/strong>. However, we decided to change the name to Le Brunch Squad! W<\/em>e are often traveling in different countries and cities and believe that we should not limit ourselves to only promote Montreal\u2019s Brunch!<\/p>\n

What started as an Instagram Account is now a community that we are slowly growing offline. In fact, our brunch meetups are a good way for people to meet other people that love food.\u00a0It is a redefined version of a\u00a0networking event. In fact, most of the people that come to our brunch events come alone and end up staying longer because they have bonded with other guests. At our last meetup at Burrito Borracho<\/a>, we ended up spending the whole day with half of the guests from an afternoon at Station FMR to end it with a dinner at Le Bird Bar. The bonds are made quite easily because when you are sitting at a restaurant, you talk to the person in front of you, on your left and on your right! Taking that into consideration, you are guaranteed to talk to 3 people!<\/p>\n

The goal is to keep on increasing the community and eventually, we would love to create our own brunch event on a rooftop with over 100 people! ( I am thinking Summer 2019)<\/em>. In addition, we haven\u2019t released it yet but Le Brunch Squad has an official logo. Eventually, we are looking to sell merchandise that reflects\u00a0the brand. We would then give the profits to a non-profit organization that gives breakfast to needy children. Now that you understand the mission, feel free to contact Katrina or me to be part of this amazing project!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now about our 5th Meetup at Le Bird Bar<\/h2>\n

Le Bird Bar<\/a> is definitely one of my favorite restaurant in Montreal. It has a great menu, amazing service and going there is always a good experience. I\u00a0went there for my first time about it 2 years ago at their opening. It was a full-house event, thanks to Ashley<\/a>! Since then, I\u00a0became\u00a0friend with one of the owners and we worked on various projects together. Eventually, I went there to try their chicken and waffle and WOW, I fell in love! Ever since I tried their chicken and waffle, I’ve been going to Bird Bar at least once a month, if not twice. (Ok this weekend I went there 3 times!)<\/p>\n

During our brunch, we teamed up with Samer Brax<\/a>, a leader in Canada when it comes to\u00a0talk about Amazon FBA. You should definitely check his Youtube Channel! During the meet-up, we wanted to make sure that people networked so we had a game for them to go around and to talk with their peers. It is safe to say that by the end of the game (even before they started to eat), they each knew something about others. (SUCCESS!)<\/p>\n

Fun fact: Our initial meet up was suppose to take place at Le Bird Bar but ended up never happening! Now that it is done, I am glad we did it there.<\/em><\/p>\n
