Ok, before getting into this article I want to point out that my initial goal for this article was to give you 5 hotels that are a great fit for a staycation. However, I realized that I had over 800 words to describe the first one which is the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth so I have to change the plan. On that note, I want to keep the intro I had before because I love it and discover why the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is perfect for your next stay in Montreal.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We all need a break. A break from our everyday routine, a break from work or simply a break to give us the time to relax. However, traveling is a luxury that requires money and time; a mix that usually doesn’t come together. For this reason, a good solution is to do a ”staycation”. Staycations are vacations but instead of leaving your city, you stay! There are many reasons why staycations are a great alternative since it does cost less than going away and you have a chance to rediscover your city. Previously, I wrote about 5 ways to discover your city (Montreal) this Summer<\/a>.\u00a0 This time, I want to share with you a hotel\u00a0that I had the pleasure to discover in the last year.<\/p>\n

Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel<\/a><\/h2>\n

With over 1400 reviews on Google, averaging 4.5 stars, The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel is one of the hottest hotels in Montreal right now.\u00a0 \u00a0It is the flagship hotel for the Fairmont and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. What used to be a hotel for celebrities to come in dressed as if they were at the Oscars is now one of the trendiest venues\u00a0of the city.\u00a0 After\u00a0going into a year of renovations and transformation, it is\u00a0not for nothing that it became a destination for locals and tourists.<\/p>\n

My first experience at this hotel happened last Summer for the #MTLGO experience<\/a>, the best day of my life because of National Bank of Canada and Mastercard. I remember walking into this hotel and be amazed at the look, going into my bedroom and see how spacious it was with the beautiful view it has over the city. The next day, I went to try the restaurant that was located in the hotel and I had a delicious breakfast.<\/p>\n

Nacarat<\/h2>\n

In the past weeks, I’ve been a couple of times to their cocktail bar Nacarat<\/a>\u00a0which recently took control of the third-floor terrace of the hotel. This bar has a cocktail card<\/a> that will please everyone and that is refined by Nader Chabaane, director of Mixology. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM.<\/p>\n

PS. The kitchen is open until 1:00 AM during those days!<\/strong><\/p>\n
