Not only this festival is the biggest in Quebec but this year lineup is incredible if you are an electro-music lover.
Artists such as Claude VonStroke, James Zabiela, Brillz and more will be part of this festival. The organizers promise an immersive on-site experience that will make it different from what you are used to at such events. Vermont Brewers Festival July 20-21
Last March, Richard and I went to Boston, we did many stops on the way and on of them was in Vermont. We had a beer there and told the waiter that we love beer and he told us that we MUST come back for Vermont Brewers Festival. This might be the closest experience that we will get from Oktoberfest. This festival reunites over 40 breweries. The Vermont Brewers Festival is one of the premier beer festivals in the world, held on the waterfront of Lake Champlain overlooking the Adirondack Mountains in Burlington Waterfront Park which is only 2 hours from Montreal. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the festival. It is hosted by the Vermont Brewers Association, a nonprofit membership organization that was founded in 1995.
Starting at 43$, an admission ticket includes a 2018 souvenir tasting glass and 15 tasting tickets. It works by session and with few sessions tickets sold out, you can get yours today on this link.
Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival August 30th – September 3rd
Last summer, I went to le Festival de Montgolfière in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu to see Wyclef Jean and Dubmatique but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good and I wasn’t able to see any hot balloons. However, this year I plan to go back again ( August 11th – 18th) and also this event occurring in Gatineau. I am looking forward to this event because Gatineau is a fun city! The Festival will kick off on Thursday, August 30 with SPACE: The Best of Pink Floyd Show extravaganza. This mega-production is aiming for nothing less than becoming the world leader in Pink Floyd interpretations, staged by Richard Petit, and under the musical direction of Michel Bruno.
On Friday, there’s a traditional comedy gala that brings established artists together with up and coming comedians. To see the full schedule of performances, head over to their website HERE
A wristband for the day starts at 24$ and you can still buy the presale 5-days wristband passport for 53$! If you are not afraid of heights, you can buy an air balloon ride for 249$ taxes included!
